Matt is a senior manager in the accounts department in the Bournemouth office who advises a range of commercial clients and individuals. He specialises in and has a passion for advising entrepreneurs and owner managed/family-owned businesses.
Matt works with clients from a wide range of industries including professional practices, recruitment, hospitality, IT and property businesses. Matt’s clients range from new start-up ventures to well established businesses up to and over the audit threshold. Matt also has experience in corporate finance and transactional work.
Matt is head of the outsourcing and accounts department, overseeing the training and development of a team of more than 20 staff.
Having completed the Nexia Trusted Advisor course, Matt is also enrolled to the Saffery Entrepreneur Academy for 2023/24.
Key experience
- Helping clients with day-to-day accounting and tax compliance matters and providing day-to-day support they require
- Providing financial and cash flow forecasting and support for transactions, obtaining finance etc
- Advising on cloud-based software such as Xero and assisting with management reporting and system improvements
- Providing tax planning guidance at a personal and corporate level
- Advising on transactional corporate finance work and planning for future exits.
Interests
Outside of work Matt is a keen runner and enjoys keeping fit through CrossFit classes. Matt is based in the New Forest and enjoys being so close to both the beach and woodland areas.
