John is an experienced VAT professional and he has been working in VAT since 1997, originally as an officer with HM Customs & Excise. He joined Saffery in 2004 and despite two years away at another larger accountancy firm returned to Saffery in 2021.
John works extensively on a wide range of property, construction and related assignments both domestically and internationally. He has also spoken at number of events including budget updates, farming and rural business seminars, and conferences.

Advising clients on a wide range of matters, including compliance issues domestically and internationally, VAT grouping, partial exemption special methods and, land and property issues.

John is married with two grown up children and spends most of his time with his family.
