Saffery Trust has today announced the appointments of Stefan Aegerter and Tim Parkinson as Client Directors in the firm’s Zurich Office.
Stefan Aegerter joins the firm from Credit Suisse Trust Limited, where he was Head of Trust and Estate Advisory IWM & SUB. In this role, he led a team of twelve advisors across Switzerland and the Middle East and was responsible for client facing activities for a large portfolio of clients spread across the globe.
Stefan has particular expertise in establishing and managing structures to hold complex assets as well as extensive experience advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals on wealth consolidation and complex inheritance planning strategies. Stefan is bilingual, being fluent in English and German, and predominantly advises clients in the Middle East, Latin America as well as the Asia Pacific region.
Tim Parkinson is an expert in wealth structuring, in particular advising on the structuring of financial and non-financial assets and has supported family offices and international ultra-high-net-worth clients. Although his client base has been international in nature, he has a particular focus on assisting clients based or with assets in Russia and the broader CIS region.
Bringing with him more than fifteen years’ experience in the trust and fiduciary industry, Tim previously held the position of Head of Trust and Estate advisory at Credit Suisse Trust AG, based in Zurich, while he also served as interim Head of Trust and Estate Advisory in Credit Suisse’s Hong Kong office.
Paul Tucknott, Managing Director of Saffery (Suisse) S.A, commented:
“As we continue to expand our Swiss operations, we’re very pleased to welcome Tim and Stefan to the team. Since establishing a presence in Switzerland more than a decade ago the firm has undergone significant growth and we are seeing continued interest from our globally mobile client base in using various structures based in Switzerland to achieve their goals. Tim and Stefan are really key appointments to the development of our Zurich office and bring with them valuable experience and insight, which complements our existing offering to clients with a need for structuring. They will add real depth to our team and capabilities and we are looking forward to working with them.”
Tim Parkinson, Client Director of Saffery (Suisse) SA, said:
“I am thrilled to be joining Saffery Trust at such a pivotal time for the Zurich office and greatly look forward to collaborating with my colleagues, both here and across our other jurisdictions, to continue building on and enhancing the firm’s heritage and reputation for best-in-class service to private clients and their families around the world.”
Stefan Aegerter, Client Director of Saffery (Suisse) SA, added:
“As the world continues to look to Switzerland as a trusted and stable jurisdiction for the structuring and managing of wealth, assets and philanthropic or charitable endeavours, I am pleased to join Saffery Trust, which is well known both in the local market and in the private wealth industry more broadly as an adviser of choice for international UHNWs, their families and business interests. I look forward to working with the wider team to carry on this track record and to contributing to the continued growth of the firm in Switzerland.”
