Saffery, the accounting and advisory firm, has made eight new hires as part of its growth strategy in the Thames Valley.

It is delighted to welcome Nakul Bhandari as an Audit Senior in its High Wycombe audit team, led by Luke Hanratty.

A member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Nakul has ten years of experience with a specialism in supporting clients with their audit, statutory accounts and taxation requirements. He will be advising clients from a variety of sectors including retail, real estate, IT, SMEs and subsidiaries.

Nakul says: “Joining Saffery is hugely exciting. Its commitment to developing its people, its cultural diversity and, as a top 20 accountancy firm, I’ll be working with one of the most competent teams in the country which provides a wide variety of clients with a bespoke and knowledgeable service.”

Saffery has also boosted the breadth of experience of its trainees through the appointment of Haseeb Ali, an auditor and accountant, who will be advising businesses, professional services’ firms, and charities as part of the audit team.

Haseeb says: “Despite Saffery’s size, there is still a collegiate and personable feel, with all teams keen to collaborate to solve client problems. I am excited to progress my career at the firm and look forward to working closely with our clients.”

Luke Hanratty, Audit Director at Saffery says:

“Having Nakul and Haseeb join our growing audit team adds to the expertise we have developed. Both really buy into our approach of audit done ‘with’ the client rather than ‘to’ the client, and having them on board will allow us to give all our clients the time and attention they deserve. We are always looking for more qualified auditors who want to do a great job and add value through their work, and hope to demonstrate continued growth in the audit team through this approach.”

Saffery’s audit team in High Wycombe works with a range of local and national clients in a variety of sectors including real estate, professional services, hospitality and recruitment.

Saffery has also hired five new trainees, Victoria Burnett, Max Newton, Kamran Uddin, Idris Ghani and Harvey Springell who will be working across the audit, accounts, corporate and personal tax teams. Katharina Fraser also joins as High Wycombe’s new office assistant.
