A dozen colleagues from the Harrogate office of Saffery will be heading for the hills next month to raise money for a cause that is close to their hearts.
The team will tackle the Yorkshire Three Peaks on 17 June in aid of Marie Curie, a charity that has had a personal impact on some of those taking part.
The event has been organised by the staff Wellbeing Team, championed by the firm’s local tax partner Justine Stalker, and reflects the firm’s focus on looking after its people and supporting the wider community.
Kathryn Belton, senior manager at the firm, said: “We plan teambuilding and social events throughout the year but there was a real consensus that this challenge should be about more than just having a good time together. This activity is also aligned with our responsible business priorities, about doing the right things when no one is looking.”
“Some of those involved have experienced the fantastic work of Marie Curie and so we are really hoping to smash our target of £2200 for this great cause.”
