Year 13 students across Buckinghamshire recently attended an early careers evening hosted by Saffery in High Wycombe.

The event provided an invaluable opportunity to explore potential career paths in accounting and tax at one of the largest firms in the region.

During the evening, attendees learned about the various career options available at Saffery, with a special focus on the firm’s trainee programme. Students had the chance to meet current trainees, who shared their personal experiences and offered insights on how to apply for roles within the firm.

As Cheran Kalamohan, a New Tax Assistant explained, “I chose Saffery because I want to be treated as an individual, not as a number. I’m excited about having the chance to get plenty of hands-on experience in a friendly environment.”

Corporate Tax Senior Manager, Sophie Smith, who helped to organise the event, said, “The students who attended our early careers evening were outstanding. Their enthusiasm and drive were evident throughout, and I have no doubt they have bright futures ahead of them. I sincerely hope many of them will consider applying for a role with us, as we would love to support their growth and development as they start their careers.”
