Join us for a seminar on 2 October in Bristol, at the Arbuthnot Latham offices where we will explain the AVEC and the newly introduced Independent Film Tax Credit.

The seminar will be delivered by Nigel Walde and Stephen Lee of Saffery and will provide an overview of the key characteristics and changes introduced as part of the AVEC at the beginning of the year.

In particular, the seminar will be looking at:

  • What has not changed
  • What is changing
  • How the AVEC is calculated
  • Connected party transactions
  • Definition of a Documentary
  • Introduction of a new UK Independent Film Tax Credit (IFTC)
  • Additional tax relief for VFX expenditure
  • Timelines and transition period.

The seminar presentation and questions will run for approximately 60 minutes and will be followed by some networking drinks.
