Saffery advises Aurias on its acquisition of leading cyber security business, Saepio Information Security

Saffery has advised search fund Aurias in its acquisition of Saepio Information Security (Saepio), a leading cyber security services provider. Aurias was founded by Daniel Cardenas-Clark and Amir Nooriala, who are now co-CEOs of Saepio.

Saepio was founded in 2016 with the aim of providing a range of specialist IT security services to help UK mid-market companies to manage risk from the ever-evolving threat of cybercrime. Aurias will look to build upon the impressive growth Saepio has enjoyed since its inception, through the provision of additional services and international expansion.

How we helped

Saffery provided financial and tax due diligence in addition to other advisory services, including tax structuring. We reported to Aurias and its investor base, including Ethos Partners, Miramar Equity Partners and Maven Equity Partners. We also reported to Dunport Capital Management, which provided the debt facility to support the transaction.

Our team was led by corporate finance Partner, Niraj Patel, with support from Andrew Fraser, Connor Bundy and Adam Stephenson in the transaction services team and Robert Langston and David Humphrys in the transactions tax team.
