Sophie Lomas

Sophie is a Corporate Finance Manager, based in the London office. She advises on a number of transaction support services, both buy and sell side, on behalf of corporates, private equity houses, debt funds, international groups and entrepreneurs of owner managed businesses.

Her role predominantly focuses on financial due diligence, vendor due diligence, corporate valuations and vendor assistance services. Sophie has advised across a number of different sectors including recruitment, healthcare, professional services and technology. Sophie is also experienced in the provision of SPA advisory services and reporting accounting services for admission onto AIM.

Sophie has experience in cross-border transactions, often working with the firm’s overseas Nexia associates, and is passionate about empowering female clients, particularly during pivotal life events such as a business transaction.

Sophie is an active member of the firm’s Recruitment Sector National Practice Group and produces bi-annual publications on M&A activity in the recruitment sector. Sophie is also a member of the firm’s Responsible Business Group.


Key experience

  • Providing financial due diligence services; including buy-side due diligence to assist in the validation of investment rationale, pre-lend due diligence to facilitate the provision of new or improved financing,
  • Assisting clients in preparing their business, or part of their business, for sale through vendor assistance (including the preparation of financial models) and vendor due diligence,
  • Advising on Reporting Accountant transactions, primarily in respect of AIM initial public offerings,
  • Providing valuations for commercial, shareholder dispute, transaction support, and financing reporting purposes.

Interests

Sophie enjoys travelling and spending time with friends and family, often cooking new recipes or trialling new local restaurants. Sophie is also a keen skier and enjoys yoga and running in her spare time.
