Jon advises a range of predominantly commercial clients including owner-managed and international businesses across multiple sectors.
His portfolio includes clients across a variety of industries, such as professional practices including FCA regulated entities and LLPs, insurance brokers, accountancy and recruitment.
Jon is experienced in working with businesses through periods of significant growth, both organic and through acquisition, and advises on financial reporting for complex and non-routine transactions, as well as the associated narrative reporting requirements.
Jon is a member of the firm’s Entrepreneurs and Professional Practices National Practices Groups, which ensures he is aware of current and upcoming developments in those sectors.
Jon had a slightly unusual route to becoming a Chartered Accountant by serving an apprenticeship to become AAT qualified before becoming a member of the ACCA.
Key experience
- Delivering audits for UK and International Groups alongside component auditors in multiple worldwide jurisdictions; in accordance with both IFRS and UK GAAP,
- Delivering statutory audits of large businesses and complex groups, with turnover in excess of £500m,
- Advising on Purchase Price Allocations and providing valuations and reporting,
- Providing an agreed upon procedures report on a UK companies’ financial operating systems and controls.
Interests
Jon, who lives in South Manchester with his spouse and two children, loves taking family trips to the Welsh coast. Depending on the weather, you might find him either walking the dog, stand-up paddle boarding or relaxing at the local pub on the beach.
