Lucy Flook

Lucy is a Trust and Estate Practitioner.

She is specialising in providing advice to trustees including dealing with all matters from assisting her clients with trust administration, accounting and tax needs, to providing income and capital tax planning advice for individuals and trustees including succession planning and the use of trusts.

Lucy has worked for the firm for over 20 years and has gained experience advising on a variety of trust matters for the private client industry.

Lucy is a member of the firm’s National Trust Practice and is co-secretary of the firm’s Trust Forum helping to improve the service we provide as a firm and sharing technical expertise firmwide.

As well as being qualified as a Trust and Estate Practitioner, Lucy is also a member of the AAT and ATT. Lucy is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and has held many of the roles during her time as a committee member for the STEP Bristol branch.


Key experience

  • Advising trustees regarding tax planning opportunities, tax compliance and administrative requirements,
  • Advice to trustees regarding restructuring for both tax and administrative efficiency,
  • Co-ordinating trust accounting and tax compliance for UK, offshore and charitable trusts and their beneficiaries, including income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax reporting,
  • Inheritance and other capital taxes planning for high net worth individuals,
  • Co-ordinating and chairing trustees’ meetings, particularly with regard to large groups of family trusts, and/or involving multiple beneficiaries,
  • Providing day to day support to trustees.

Interests

Lucy is married with two young children. Outside of the office, she enjoys keeping fit and writing children’s picture books, one of which is in the process of being published.
